All registrants receive a free cycling jersey. The jerseys are designed by the renowned cyclist Scottie Weiss, with Starlite Apparel.

This epic ride starts in downtown Wytheville, in the shadow of the Big Pencil hanging over Main Street at Wytheville Office Supply, one of our key sponsors. Our metric century ride offers three climbs of Big Walker Mountain, just north of Wytheville, near the intersection of I-81 and I-77.

For the first time in 2016, we offered a King of the Mountain timed ascent of the first climb of Big Walker, with several prizes awarded including Smith glasses.

The ride coincides with the opening day of the annual Chautauqua Festival in the Park, an eight day family oriented arts and music festival.

Proceeds benefit HOPE, an umbrella human services organization delivering housing, food security and anti-poverty programs to the southwest Virginia counties of Wythe, Bland, Carroll, Smyth and Grayson and the city of Galax.  Click here to learn more about HOPE.
